Hey guys! Today I am reviewing the Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Shampoo and Conditioner by Dr. Organic. You may or may not have seen the review for the Dead Sea Mineral Day & Night cream which you can find HERE. I really loved those products so please read on to see what the verdict on these two products from the same brand is. Will the irrevocable love for Dr. Organic continue?
These two products both come in see-through plastic bottles with a silver lid. The packaging is very cute and it is water-proof so there are no worries about keeping them in your shower. They each come with 265ml of product. They also both promise that the product inside them is ‘moisturising, nourishing and regenerating’. As they are both organic products they are free from parabens, SLS, artificial colours, fragrances and harsh preservatives. This is great because they are no harsh chemicals in them that could potentially damage the healthiness of your hair.

This shampoo has a transparent creamy colour to it. It smells like coconut which is inevitable since that is the main speciality of the shampoo. After applying it, I found that it didn’t lather much but that is only since it doesn’t include parabens. I usually find that applying this twice is best if you want to completely clean your hair. This is because the first time the shampoo doesn’t lather but when you apply it for the second time it does. However, I sometimes find that my hair can be left dry if I do this too often so I probably only do it once a week or even less.
As I said, this shampoo can be quite drying. I found that if I don’t apply the conditioner after using this my hair will be slightly more frizzy that usual. Not a look I like to go for. Also, this probably takes twice as much product than my normal shampoo which means that this bottle will only just last me about a month. On a whole, I would give this shampoo size out of ten because I find that it does do a good job at cleaning my hair but it doesn’t give it too much nutrients back.

This conditioner has a white lotion-like consistency. I find that this too has a slightly different texture to my normal conditioners but as this is organic, I have my bets on being because of that. After applying this conditioner, I notice that it does a great job at putting the nutrients back into hair. I am guessing that is why Dr. Organic has recommended these two products to be used together as it does make sense.
I really feel like after I use this my hair is noticeably softer and shinier. Also, I feel like it is more healthy which is a definitely a good thing. I feel like it does make an improvement to my hair. However, I sort of feel like it makes my hair fragile. I don’t know whether it is true or not but I feel like my hair is more prone to breakage after using this. For this reason, I will give this a rating of seven because although I like it better than the shampoo, it doesn’t give the best of results.
