Hey guys! Have you ever thought about the colour of your eyes? Whether you like it or not? What you would change it to if you could? Well, I don’t know about you, but personally I never have. Despite the obvious hesitation that many people have with wearing contact lenses when I came across these contact lenses I wasn’t too worried about the idea of putting them onto my eyes although these were actually the first pair that I have ever tried. These particular contact lenses that I will be reviewing for you today are the Big Eye Culoured Contact Lenses in Sexy Brown by Beautifeye.
I asked my best friend what her opinion on contact lenses was and she basically listed all of the ‘conspiracies’ that are related to contact lenses and how she couldn’t bare the thought of putting a ‘foreign object’ onto your eye balls just for fashion. ‘They can get stuck in your eyes’ … ‘it’s not natural to put a foreign object in your eye’ … ‘what if you lose your eyesight’ etc. Despite hearing all of this I was not put off because the thought of changing something about me, without it being permanent, for a few hours was really cool. After thinking about it, I realised that through the duration of my life the only thing that has stayed the same about us is our eyes. If I could alter that to match a costume or outfit for a day, how cool would that be?! So when I got the first chance I decided to put these contact lenses to the test and wore them to school.
I will not go into to much detail about contact lenses in general because now that I have thought about it, there are a heap of things that I could talk about on the topic of fashion contact lenses so I will save that for another post. However, I will say that I loved these lenses! I only felt weird for about ten minutes after putting them in because obviously, I don’t usually go around putting things in my eye. Initially, my eyes watered and I was blinking quite a lot. The rapid blinking lasted only about a minute or two and then I was fine. After ten minutes I had all but forgotten that I had the contact lenses in. I realised that the trick was to not take to much notice of them because when I did, I suddenly knew that there was something inside my eyes. I liked the fact that they were super thin and I really got on with my school day as normal. They had no impact at all on my every day routine. Huge thumbs up for that!
Furthermore, I really love the colour of these contact lenses. You can see me in the pictures wearing the contacts in different lighting. Honestly, they look pretty different in various contexts. Despite this fact, they look natural in all of them. Also, when someone looks closely into your eyes they will look sort of 3D (it is hard to explain without it sounding weird) because of the way they are coloured but it isn’t a big problem as it doesn’t look horrible. As the natural colour of my eyes is dark brown, I really liked these lenses as I found that they brought light to my whole face and brightened up my whole look!
The contact lenses come with a free storage case and 120ml solution which I like because you don’t have to worry about finding one of those before wearing them. It also comes with an instruction leaflet which really helped me to learn the procedure of putting the lenses into my eyes as I was really confused at first. It broker it down using easy English that is great for all of us beginners on the subject because, let’s face it, the last thing we want whilst learning about something new is having to keep a dictionary on hand because the text is lengthy or hard to understand.
For those of you who are worried about them getting stuck in your eyes no worries, although it is not recommended I have even been to sleep in these ones for around an hour and they did not get stuck in my eyes. I don’t know if it was just these ones but trust me they were fine and extremely confortable. I give them a 9.5 out of 10 for comfort and a 10 out of 10 for appearance. I love these!

You can also check out any other of the lenses from the Big Eye range HERE. They are currently priced at a sale price of £17.99 from £19.99 and considering that they last a year if you take care of them properly they are a total bargain!! I am definitely going to purchase these and different colours in the future as they are an amazing must-have to glam up your look! I just love them! I am sorry that this turned out to be a lengthy post but thank you very much for reading!
