Hey guys! Today I am reviewing the Soothing Facial Serum* that is part of the Calm range by Arbonne. I have also reviewed the Soothing Eye Gel from the same range and you can find that HERE if you are interested in learning a bit in reading about that.
‘This lightweight serum, with a moisture barrier soothing complex, quickly penetrates, cools and soothes the skin, locking in moisture and soothes the skin, locking in moisture and leaving the skin feeling hydrated and supple. This non-irritating serum is the ideal for improving the texture and appearance of the skin’ – Arbonne
This Soothing Facial Serum comes in a glass bottle with a pipette applicator. It has a similar consistency to the the eye gel. After applying this serum my skin feels very hydrated in a good way. When looking in the mirror after application, I noticed that my skin has a very satiny finish which is very good. I learnt that this provides a beautiful base for your makeup and gives you a very fresh, natural glow. This in turn, makes the appearance of my skin better and I feel like that if I used it for a while it would help my skin become healthier. Also, my skin feels very good when I apply this. My skin feels very soft and hydrated. It feels almost as if that sensation that you get from a massage is being given. Haha, I don’t know how to describe it but it feels great!
Arbonne actually say on the bottle that this serum should be applied morning and night after cleansing. I find that this does put a lot of nutrients that cleansing strips from the skin back into the skin, which is what I’m usually looking for in these things. So far, I haven’t had any negative side effects from using this serum which is very good for me as I do have pretty sensitive skin. I also gave this serum to a friend of mine who has sensitive skin to try and her skin didn’t react negatively to this either. I’d say that his is a very good hydrator and is very good for the skin.
The serum has a natural sort of smell but that isn’t a problem for me. It does cost quite a lot and personally I don’t see any miracles from this which is what I would like if I were to spend £35 on it. However, the lightweight serum is a very good item to have in your routine if you have mature or sensitive skin, just like I said with the eye gel. The lovely feel that it gives to your skin is amazing and I would purchase it it wasn’t so expensive! Despite this fact, it does live up to the name given to it’s range ‘calm’ and definitely does a good job of soothing your skin as well as hydrating it.
Like I did with the Soothing Eye Gel, I’d mainly recommend this for my mature readers or those of you who have sensitive skin. You can find this on the Arbonne website HERE for £35.
